We are looking for a Deputy Catering Manager who reports into the Catering Manager, the Deputy Catering Manager will be responsible for 聽managing and developing the catering department鈥檚 food and beverage activities, including overseeing staff, aiding with food and beverage menu standards, ensuring food quality and freshness, and monitoring the ordering and stocking of all catering supplies to ensure meal quality and consistency by following designated recipes.

The role of Deputy Catering Manager is an essential link in ensuring the smooth running of the kitchen and restaurant operation. Working to tight timescales whilst being flexible and understanding of school activities, the role requires a team player but also someone that can work with all catering team members in a harmonious and co-operative manner to maintain a good working and professional atmosphere.

This role will be responsible for two Junior Sous Chefs (Back of House/Kitchen), one Food Service Assistants Supervisor, one Retail Supervisor and various junior catering staff.

The interview process will be as follows:

Stage 3 鈥� Shortlisted candidates from Stage 2 鈥� Trial Day will be invited to a Final interview in week commencing Monday 20^th January 2025.

Our Catering Department requires a proactive individual to join their busy department as a Kitchen Porter. The role of Kitchen Porter is an essential link in ensuring the smooth running of the kitchen operation. Working to tight timescales whilst being flexible and understanding of school activities, the role requires a team player but also someone that can work with all catering team members in a harmonious and co-operative manner to maintain a good working and professional atmosphere.

The main responsibilities are to assist in the kitchen with deliveries, washing up and general cleanliness, to carry out all work in an industrious manner so that work is completed in a timely manner and to ensure the job responsibilities are carried out in line with Bancroft鈥檚 standards. This role reports to Sous-Chef / Deputy Catering Manager.

The working hours for this role are Term Time (34 weeks) plus 27 days, 40 hours per week on a shift rota namely, 07.00 鈥� 15.00, 08.00 鈥� 16.30 and 09.00 -17.30 with half an hour unpaid lunch.
