Sixth Form Curriculum
Sixth Form Curriculum
Pupils in the Lower Sixth Form choose three or four subjects to study for two years. Those who choose three subjects also undertake the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), which is completed before the end of year.
In the Upper Sixth Form, pupils continue with their chosen subjects and complete their A Levels.
All pupils also follow an Enrichment programme, which includes modules on financial literacy, wellbeing, research skills, and Higher Education and careers advice. Pupils also have a fortnightly lecture series with visiting speakers.
Pupils considering medical-based degrees and careers are timetabled into a fortnightly Medics Group, where they learn more about these courses and careers and receive advice and support towards their applications.
Additional Studies options
In addition to their three or four A Levels, pupils in the Upper Sixth Form also choose an additional studies option as a form of enrichment. These courses are offered in a wide variety of subjects, such as DIY, animation, law, and programming.
Enrichment opportunities
Sixth Formers have many opportunities to enrich their education beyond the classroom. These include the Learning for Life programme, the fortnightly lecture series, and the Medics Group. Pupils can also participate in a variety of extracurricular activities, such as sports clubs, arts societies, and volunteering projects.
